At least 20 newsroom employees were laid off Wednesday at the Suburban Journals of St. Louis. That's in addition to the 28 employees who were laid off last week. The 16-edition paper has also eliminated six editions.

I think it was 24 news employees who lost their jobs. It was awful. They started with a meeting and then sent us out to wait to be called in one by one to learn our fate. The last one was called in two hours later.
Actually by my list there were 52 on axed on 8/26
That sounds like Lee's way of doing business.
