Employees paid 2 days early

Lee employees who use direct deposit were paid today, two days ahead of the regularly scheduled pay day. Lee says it was a simple accounting error, and it was easier to pay employees early than to otherwise fix the error. The skeptic in me wonders if it could be something more. Any ideas?

Sounds like a great opportunity for everyone to call in sick for two days.

Likely has something to do with their cash on hand to cook the books for the refi.

My paper got an e-mail stating the link would be down for a short period on Sunday for a payroll upgrade. I'm guessing this caused the glitch that caused the early pay day. I'm not complaining though. I paid a couple of bills early.
